WHAT'S HOT: A midsize beige tower with silver-toned edging, this model from MPC (formerly MicronPC) comes stocked with a host of high- end components that will likely appeal to power users looking for more than a basic system, although when compared to flashier machines aimed at gamers, it looks downright conservative. We tested this Millennia with MPC's old case.
Our test configuration included twin Serial ATA 120GB hard drives, connected in a RAID setup thanks to an integrated RAID controller (see Hands-On With Next-Generation Drive for a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of Serial ATA drives). It also had a DVD-RW drive (albeit an older, slower model, the Pioneer DVR- 104), and a 17-inch MPC F1700 LCD monitor.
