NASA will begin testing its hypersonic Low-Observable Flight Test Experiment (LoFLYTE) aircraft at the end of this month, agency officials said.
The eight-foot aircraft was built by Accurate Automation Corp. under a Small Business Innovative Research contract from NASA and the Air Force. Less than $2 million has been spent on the program, which began two and a half years ago, Dave Reubush, acting deputy director of the hypersonic vehicles office, told Defense Daily yesterday.
