National Bank of Canada Holds 10 % of Global Diversified Investment Grade Income Trust II

Abstract

(CCNMatthews - Dec. 22, 2006) - National Bank of Canada ("NBC") (TSX:NA) announces that on December 21, 2006, NBC purchased through one of its subsidiaries, an additional 47,800 trust units (the "Units") of Global Diversified Investment Grade Income Trust II (the "Trust") at a price of $8.45 per Unit, representing 0.34% of the total issued and outstanding Units. These Units were purchased through the Toronto Stock Exchange.
