Solar developer Pecan Solar LLC has asked the North Carolina Utilities Commission to approve plans to build a 74.9-MW project that could sell its output to Dominion North Carolina Power.
Pecan Solar on March 31 filed an amended application seeking a certificate of public convenience and necessity for the project in Northampton County, N.C. (Docket No. SP-5273, Sub 0)
Pecan Solar said in its application that the facility will consist of approximately 305,300 photovoltaic modules and is expected to come online by June 1, 2016.
