Abstract
NEC America Inc.'s Facts Sport II pager is reviewed. The next generation of brightly colored pagers with transparent cases are small and lightweight, weighing approximately 2.47 ounces. The Sport II battery life is almost double that of any previous NEC numeric pager. The baud programmability allows carriers the flexibility of using highband and UHF units on both 512 and 1,200 baud systems, or 900 MHz units on 512, 1,200, and 2,400 baud systems. The pager features 8-message capability with automatic display lighting and a built-in, 12-hour clock and time stamp.
