UNDETERED BY the impending threat of Hurricane Floyd lingering just off the Eastern Seaboard, the Security Watch duo recently made the trek to beautiful Atlanta to attend one of the largest networking trade shows around, Fall NetWorld+Interop (N+I, at www.interop.net). Floyd seemed to have thinned the traffic a bit this year, but for die-hard wireheads like us - especially those with a penchant for security - N+I always dishes up a healthy serving of network nourishment.
Of course, the main reason everyone goes to big shows is to meet the vendors face-toface, and N+I does not disappoint in this regard. We'd be hard-pressed to think of a show with more security companies under one tent. N+I nicely organizes most of these companies at the Security Solutions Pavilion, a target-rich environment for security managers seeking specific or general information on security products and solutions.
