Gigabit Ethernet, wireless LANs among show headliners
Solution providers attending NetWorld+Interop here this week will be hit with a blizzard of new products, including Gigabit Ethernet, content delivery, wireless, Internet security, IP telephony and optical transport solutions for enterprise clients.
NetWorld+Interop gives solution providers a glimpse into the future, says Michael LeBlanc, president of Norwalk, Conn.-based solution provider LeBlanc Communications. "I go to N+I not to see what's happening tomorrow, but what's happening the day after tomorrow," LeBlanc says. "I want to know what's going to be the next, next big thing."
At the show, Lucent spin-off Avaya plans to launch an all-out assault in the enterprise data networking space, trying to transform its image as a PBX vendor. Avaya says it will introduce a new, pollcy-based version of its network management...
