CPD
For most CIMA members, continuing professional development is a matter of business as usual. Members are already obliged to undertake CPD and it helps them to maintain their employability. Everyone who applies to become a member must agree to abide by an ethical code that is directly related to maintaining levels of professional knowledge and skill.
If it's already an existing obligation and members are already doing it, why introduce something new?
