Worldwide Computer Products News-10 November 2000-New SAGEM Pocket PC with GSM phone capabilities announced (C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com SAGEM and Microsoft have announced a new wireless mobile device that is claimed to be the first dual-band GSM/GPRS phone-enabled Pocket PC. The SAGEM WA3050 Pocket PC, based on Microsoft's Windows Powered Pocket PC platform, is equipped with GSM phone capabilities and high speed GPRS technology by SAGEM. It features the ability to place and receive mobile phone calls, including hands-free and speakerphone capabilities; wireless Internet browsing using Pocket Internet Explorer, and access to WAP information using an integrated browser; pocket versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Windows Media Player; Microsoft Reader and a caller alert function.
