Jumping on the online bandwagon, Sun Microsystems Inc. rolled out a full offering of Internet-related products last week with new security and multimedia features to be sold through resellers.
The computer maker, based here, also revealed an agreement in which it enlisted Netscape Communications Inc., Mountain View, a rising star among Internet software developers, as a reseller of Sun's Internet products. Netscape will be working on ways to incorporate Sun's Internet programming language, called Java, into its Internet software.
Sun's announcement follows similar rollouts by other computer manufacturers, such as Apple Computer Inc. and Silicon Graphics Inc., which are anxious to profit from growing interest in the Internet and from plans by corporations to exploit the global computer network for commercial purposes.
