"Where It Goes When You Dispose:' a virtual tour of an integrated solid waste management system, made its debut on "Plastics Resource," the website of the American Plastics Council (APC), the week of June 16. Intended to demystify many waste handling technologies and educate visitors about the role of plastics in solid waste management, the field trip offers stops at a transfer station, a household hazardous waste center, an energy recovery facility, a recycling center, and a landfill.
