[Symbol Not Transcribed] [filled square] The City of Toronto recently reopened its public inquiry into the high cost of an I.T. contract financed by leases arranged by MFP Financial Services Ltd.
Commissioner Justice Denise Bellamy called a halt after the first day of scheduled proceedings on Sept. 30, when Dell Financial Services -- originally a bidder on the contract that MFP ultimately won -- alleged that a political lobbyist had attempted bribery. Bellamy turned the matter over to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
