The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester works to improve the quality of life for Jews in Rochester, in Israel and around the world. Now observing its 75th anniversary, it is the umbrella organization for more than 19,000 people who live in Jewish households in the Rochester area.
The federation's activities include financial resource development, planning, education, community relations and volunteer recruitment and training. It convenes agencies, synagogues and other organizations to address matters of common concern.
More than 2,600 donors participate in the Rochester UJA Federation Campaign, contributing some $4.5 million annually. Locally, the campaign supports:
