The same week I was to install Norton AntiVirus 5.0 on my Windows NT Server, headlines blared about the new Remote Explorer virus (see "Intelligent Virus Surfaces On NT Servers" at www.internetwk.com/news1298/news122298-2.htm). Talk about good timing!
If you're running Windows NT 4.0 or later, Symantec Corp.'s Norton AntiVirus 5.0 (NAV) installs onto your server. The license also includes protection for 10 Windows NT workstations. If you use a different workstation platform, you may exchange those licenses for either DOS/Windows 3.1 or Windows 95/98 licenses for free. NAV includes the binaries for both Intel and Alpha processors.
