When the 2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule was released in early September, it included one major surprise: Ohio's Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, formerly known as Norwalk Raceway Park, would be joining the NHRA member track network and would host an NHRA national event in 2007. The facility, owned by Bill Bader and managed by his son Bill Jr., has long been a favorite of racers and fans due to its fan-friendly atmosphere.
