NTE Energy has taken bids from potential debt providers for a contracted gas-fired project under development in North Carolina, deal watchers tell PFR.

The Florida-based sponsor took proposals for a $595 million loan from banks last Friday, says a project financier. Construction is slated to begin on the 500 MW Reidsville Energy Center, a combined-cycle gas-fired project, in Rockingham County, N.C., next year.
