A nursing program offering the first two years of baccalaureate degree studies at Kent State University Trumbull Campus began last year, which contributed to a rise in overall enrollment to 1,769 students in the fall of 1991 as compared to 1,702 the previous year. Last May, 127 students received associate degrees.
Third-term summer enrollment was also up more than 24 percent (176 compared to 141) for the same time periods. The rise is attributed to increased awareness of the baccalaureate degree options available in more than 170 fields as well as 12 associate degree programs.
The nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing and approved by the Ohio State Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration. Students may complete their degree...
