* Ohio State University has hired Jonathan Hook as its first ever CIO, where he will also hold the title of VP and be responsible for the school's $2.2 billion in long-term investments. Hook previously served as CIO and associate VP at Baylor University for seven years, where he directed the investments of the university's $1.1 billion endowment.
* The Blackstone Group has hired Thomas Stoddard as senior managing director, where he will work in the firm's corporate advisory business. Prior to joining Blackstone, Stoddard was a founding partner of private equity firm Barrett Ellman Stoddard Capital Partners.
