Two more businesses could be spun off from Anaheim-based Odetics Inc. as part of its new "incubator" strategy, according to an analyst who follows the company.
Odetics' closed-circuit television business, Gyyr Inc., and its intelligent transportation systems unit could be next in line to become standalone companies, said William Gibson of Irvine-based Cruttenden Roth Inc.
Last month, Odetics formally completed the spin-off of ATL Products Inc., an Irvine-based maker of tape storage libraries with a market capitalization of about $100 million. That deal was the first in a new strategy outlined by Odetics chairman and CEO Joel Slutzky.
