Terry "The Viking" Erickson of Mac's Carnival & Attractions, Huron, S.D., called to talk about a July 20-24 booking at the Sherman County Fair, Loup City Neb. "In this tiny town of 995 people, they have five sets of twins, ranging in age from 8 to 19. The ones who are 8 had the grand champion steer. There must be something in the water." Erickson and Shelby McKenna, who book dozers and other games, have had some good luck lately. He said there are casinos all over South Dakota and he played a $5 machine in one and won $800 on his third pull. A week later, he and Shelby walked away with $6,300. Jim McWhorter, father of Lon McWhorter (show president), asked Erickson to bring him along during his next gambling jaunt.
