The executive who once headed the North American operations of the world's largest employment agency has been named president of Columbus-based Dawson Personnel Systems.
Michael Linton, 42, formerly chief executive of Switzerland-based Adecco SA's North American operations, was named Dawson's president last month. He left Adecco in October 2002, when he tired of job-related travel.
Linton, his wife, Annette, and seven children reside on a Hocking Hills farm.
"I was never home," Linton said.
Linton's return to the Columbus area, which was cleared after his noncompetetion agreement with Adecco expired, likely will bring heightened rivalry to Central Ohio's temporary staffing industry.
Chris DeCapua, who with his brother, David, acquired Dawson from their father, Joseph, in 2000, expect the company can blossom under Linton.
"Someone with Michael's experience and knowledge can take us to the next level," DeCapua said.
