Serving the Aerospace Industry in the Pacific Northwest
Pacific Metallurgical, Inc., Kent, WA, was started in 1967 to serve the needs of the aerospace industry in the Pacific Northwest. The company was purchased in the mid-1970's by the current owner, Mr. Doug Allen, FASM, whose goal was to create a professionally staffed and managed organization to meet the unique challenges associated with the heat treatment of aerospace parts.
The company purchased its first vacuum furnace in 1979 bringing vacuum heat treating technology to the Pacific Northwest. There are currently five vacuum furnaces with the largest having a 4000 lb. capacity with a working volume of 4 ft. x 4 ft. x 8 ft.
