Paging Network Inc., the largest paging company in the United States, is planning to hire about 25 people when it opens its first Ohio office this June in Sharonville. The company will also open a branch office in Dayton at the same time.
Based in Plano, Texas, PageNet currently operates regional affiliates in 22 states and Washington, D.C., which are responsible for sales, service, accounting and marketing. The Sharonville operation and Dayton branch office will be known as Paging Network Inc. of Ohio. PageNet also will be opening affiliates in Columbus and Cleveland with a branch office in Akron.
Bill Rittweger, vice president and general manager of PageNet's local operations, said that in addition to the 25 employees in the Greater Cincinnati office, PageNet will hire five to six for the Dayton branch. He said he expects the staff size to triple over the next two years.
PageNet provides numeric and voice message paging as well as an integrated voice mail and paging system that allows a caller to reach a customer's voice mail by dialing the pager number. Paging is available locally and regionally using radio signals, or nationally through satellite communication.
