PeopleSoft, fresh from posting improved second-quarter results, expects its comeback to continue with a "bet the company" strategy centered on its PeopleSoft 8 suite.
For competitor Baan, however, the view isn't nearly so optimistic.
Craig Conway, named president of PeopleSoft last September during a period of financial upheaval, said he expects earnings per share to grow tenfold within the next 18 months, fueled by PeopleSoft 8, whose HR, supply chain and financial modules are to be rolled out Sept. 1.
