Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy is revamping its business management school with the goal of becoming a national leader in using campus research to create new start-up technology companies.
RPI has named Phillip Phan, a management professor at RPI since January, as the new research director for the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship.
Phan, 38, was hired in January as the Bruggeman Distinguished Chair in Management. Before coming to Troy, he taught in Singapore, Toronto and in New York City .
