The Fifth Annual Plexus PCB Symposium was held September 8th, in Neenah, Wisconsin, and from all accounts was the best yet. The symposium is a one-day event featuring industry experts from around the globe. As one of the premier high-technology contract manufacturers in the world, our customers look to us to keep a pulse on the PCB industry and technology. Our speakers are pulled from industry leaders in the PCB manufacturing, materials, equipment, and emerging technologies sectors. It provides a technology forum for Plexus, our customers and suppliers, and a rare opportunity to exchange ideas with a very elite audience. With travel restrictions still in effect in many companies, 1 was delighted with the global footprint represented in the audience as guests from Korea, China and Europe complimented our North American participants. The central theme this year focused around RoHS and the associated costs throughout the supply chain.
Keynote
Venerable industry analyst Walt Custer, President of Custer Consulting Group, was again our keynote speaker, and as always delivered his entertaining and informative Business Outlook for the Electronics liulustn: Walt reported that "after a tame first half of 2005, the global electronics industry is beginning to show some signs of life.
