Logitech's sculpted, pearl-and-gray Cordless MouseMan Wheel adds cable-free convenience to an input device whose corded version has won our World Class Award for the last two years. Logitech's use of radio-frequency technology eliminates the line-of-sight restrictions that plague infrared-based devices. I was able to use a preproduction unit from 10 feet away, and through obstacles such as a book and even a wall. Like its corded predecessor, the $60 device is designed for right-handed users and comes with several programmable buttons.
