[Symbol Not Transcribed] Polytainers, Inc., Toronto-head-quartered supplier of rigid packaging products for the food and dairy industries, has announced the implementation of a HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points)-compliant food safety system at its Toronto facility, as well as the commencement of a similar HACCP-compliant program at its production plant near Kansas City, Mo. Although not required by law, the implementation of HACCP procedures was viewed as a wise, proactive business decision, according to Polytainers director of quality Michael Tromm. "We have implemented the HACCP system in Toronto, and plan to do so in our Lee's Summit (Kansas City) facility as well, in order to assure all our food and dairy customers that our containers and packaging systems are as safe and free from contamination as they can possibly be," says Tromm. "We know our customers take food safety seriously, and so do we."
