Here's a look at top hotels on the island's most luxurious tourism spot.
IT MAY HAVE TAKEN a few years, but Airbnb - and the sharing economy in general - is rapidly being embraced by many tourism representatives in the Caribbean. For Paul Pennicook, Jamaica's director of tourism, Airbnb's greatest asset to Jamaica lies in its potential to draw more budget-conscious clients to Port Antonio, arguably the most beautiful and also the most expensive part of the country.
During an interview Travel Agent conducted with Pennicook in June during Caribbean Week in New York, he told us he hopes clients who previously could not afford to stay at the luxurious hotels in Port Antonio, can now cut costs by staying at an Airbnb property for a portion of their vacation.

The Trident Hotel
