With the help of the Portland Development Commission and the Metropolitan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce several Portland-area Hispanic-owned businesses have found it a littler easier to expand their operations.
The businesses have received a combination of help in the form of financial programs from PDC and technical assistance from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce over the past several months.
We very much value our partnership with the Hispanic Chamber in assisting these companies, said PDC Executive Director Don Mazziotti. It is a partnership we would like to replicate with other minority chambers in the city.
The partnership began when the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce assisted the owners of C&M Motors, a Northeast Portland company specializing in BMW and Mercedes-Benz repairs, and the owners of Orozco Auto Wrecking, a automobile recycling business located in the Lents Urban Renewal Area, in completing business plans, a necessary element...
