Spirax Sarco steam system audit saves energy
Dairy Crest reduced gas consumption at its Kirkby factory by 18%, thanks to a combination of energy saving measures recommended by Spirax Sarco. Steam system optimisation played a major role in achieving the overall savings, leading to a rapid payback for Spirax Sarco's audit. One of the improvements was raising the temperature in the boiler feed tank, from between 79 and 82°C, to 96°C Increasing the temperature reduces the boiler's energy consumption by 1%. Condensate recovery was another area that produced results.

Wellman Robey supplies static, containerised and trailerised steam and hot water boilers for emergency and planned hire periods. At Müller, Wellman provides a trailerised 10,000kg/hr oil fired steam boiler with its own bunded fuel supply (secondary containment supply). The boiler provides the necessary steam to conveniently make up the site load.
