Proeza, Grede begin construction on Mexican foundry

Abstract

Mexico's Proeza, S.A. de C.V., and Grede Foundries, Inc., Milwaukee, began construction in November on a $65-million iron foundry in Northern Mexico. The facility, which is scheduled to begin operation in October, 2001, will have an annual production capacity of 70,000 metric tons, the companies said in astatement.
