It may have been pickles and french fries that whetted Hobbit Travel CEO George Wozniak's appetite for business.
Selling salty snacks at the Minnesota State Fair since he was 17, the 52-year-old St. Paul native learned to think big. Wozniak has since carried over his State Fair selling skills to grow the third-largest travel agency in the Twin Cities, according to The Business Journal's Top 25 List. Specializing in leisure travel, Hobbit reached $150 million in sales last year.
In 2002, Wozniak also became a player in the airline industry after investing in Mendota Heights-based Sun Country Airlines.
