Since January, Lisa Swanson has been vice president of e-commerce at The Golden I Credit Union of Sacramento, the co-op's first employee to hold that job full time. The Golden 1, California's largest member-owned financial cooperative and the sixth largest in the nation, has more than 366,000 members and $2.56 billion in assets. She has spent her career in financial services, and was a special projects manager for seven years at The Golden 1.

BUSINESS SAVVY
A new ejob: "This position was created on Jan. 1 of this year. My job is to develop an ecommerce strategy. We've had a Web presence for years ... so it isn't as if we weren't participating. But (now) we have someone working at it full time."
Starting out: "My senior year in high school ... I was in a work internship program with U.S. National Bank of Oregon. I observed each of the operational areas of the bank for six months and when I turned 18, I was offered a job as a teller. I stayed in branch retail banking operations for four years. In 1981 I moved to Sacramento and began working for Capital Federal Savings & Loan. I started out in tellering - but then got robbed twice."
What happened: "One was a branch takeover and the other was a one-on-one.
