Presentation lab test
Liesegang Solid Ultra
This SVGA-resolution (800 × 600 pixels) projector performed surprisingly well in the Presentations lab. The Solid Ultra exceeded Liesegang's brightness spec of 1,500 lumens and delivered above-average video for an SVGA model.
The audio was rich and the video looked great in all but the dark, low-contrast scenes, using its S-video connection. Liesegang includes component, composite and S-video interfaces to give you several options for video projection.
Projected text appeared sharper than we expected from an SVGA projector. The Solid Ultra's standard wide-angle lens can produce a large-screen image from short distances. For example, set up only 92 inches from the screen, the projected image was an impressive 64 × 48 inches. Our grayscale tests were on spec and this unit produced accurate colors when displaying a master test pattern from the DisplayMate testing software. Our standard test photographs looked good, but not quite as rich or as saturated in color as they could have been.
