FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. British Virgin Islands-based Pusser's West Indies, a nautical apparel and giftware retailer that operates 10 high-grossing casual restaurants, has launched its third U.S. restaurant here, a remake of the nearly 30-year-old DownUnder.
The late November debut of the 295-seat Pusser's DownUnder, joining recently opened Pusser's Landing units in Annapolis, Md., and Charleston, S.C., sets the stage for at least four more Pusser's on the East Coast during 1997, according to founder and chairman Charles Tobias.
