Abstract

To get around the enormous file sizes involved with transmitting video, BroadQ engineers made the QCast software send encoded digital content through the network, instead of decoding the media before it is transmitted, as most systems do. "It uses the processing power on the PlayStation to decode it, so video is no problem to send," [Mary Browning] said.
