Richmond, Calif.-based QRS Corp. (QRSI) is a solid, well-niched EDI company poised to grow along with the retail industry upon which it is focused.
The retail-EDI provider is purchasing EDI Connection, a small Los Angeles-based EDI consultancy and services company, in mid-July. The acquisition is a move that QRS Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President Shawn O'Connor says rounds out the company's portfolio of service offerings to the retail supply chain. The 12- employee EDI Connection had revenues of about $1 million in 1997. O'Connor would not disclose the amount QRS is paying for EDI Connection.
EDI Connection sells its services to manufacturers, importers and distributors in the retail industry.
