"Quiet Heroes," by Commander Frances Omori, USN, is about a very special group of people involved in the Korean War. The "heroes" are more than 3,000 members of the US. Navy Nurse Corps (NC) who are remembered by the sailors and Marines they tended and worked with in naval hospitals both ashore and afloat in 1950 through 1953.
