Quovadx Inc., a vendor of integration software and services, has acquired Outlaw Technologies, a Boulder, Colo.-based vendor of customer relationship management software. Englewood, Colo.-based Quovadx paid about $2.7 million in cash and stock. Outlaw's software targets payers to assist in managing and measuring the direct and indirect relationships they have with members, providers, employers and agents. Quovadx is best known for its QDX Integrator product, formerly called the Cloverleaf interface engine. The company has created QDX Platform, which enables development of new applications using data streams created following integration of legacy systems. Applications already developed include disease management, clinical trials automation and connectivity with clearinghouses. The new acquisition gets Quovadx into the customer relationship management software market.
