BOULDER - With the economy clamoring for lean business practices, outsourcing is getting noticed as an efficient method of cutting costs.
With a background that includes developing a registration program for a national training company, Attila Safari decided to turn his experience into a business plan. The resulting venture, RegOnline, supports companies that offer events such as conferences, seminars and training classes by managing the registration process online.
The service, wrapped up in state-of-the-art software, includes customized registration forms, online surveys, e-mail reminders and lodging management.
The Business Report: What was your initial investment to get RegOnline up and running, and how did you finance that?
Attila Safari: I left Career Track at about the time the Internet was becoming a business tool. I developed the software for online registration while I worked as a Web development consultant. The consulting was so successful that I had enough money to start marketing RegOnline, so I've always been self-funded.
