To encourage public policy analysis and promote information-sharing between public and private organizations, the Comptroller's Office has issued a report, Policy Research Exchange Program, that lists recent research-related publications and current research efforts throughout the state.
The Policy Research Exchange Program is designed to provide an innovative network for research organizations and to minimize duplication of efforts that help shape state fiscal policy. No similar type of comprehensive report on policy research efforts exists in the state.
The program is an outcome of a larger effort by the Comptroller's Office to promote the exchange of research on public policy. Earlier this year, the Comptroller's Office and the LBJ School of Public Affairs co-sponsored the Conference on State Policy Analysis.
