All companies incorporate user feedback in their product designs to one degree or another, but few have done it so visibly as Blackmagic Design has with its URSA video camera.
What started out as a cinema behemoth in the original URSA was downsized sharply into the URSA Mini, and then loaded up with buttons and ND filters in the URSA Mini Pro.
We turned the third generation URSA over to N.J. commercial photographer David Patiño to see if it pushed his buttons.
Features
Like the earlier Mini, the Mini Pro has a 4.6K Super 35mm-sized image sensor with 15 stops of dynamic range. Unlike the original, the Mini Pro ships standard with an EF mount that can be removed by the user to be replaced with a PL or B4 mount. The Pro also offers built-in ND filters with IR compensation (2, 4 and 6 stop).
