The GF768 is one of a new range of mobile phones from Ericsson that are available in a range of different colours that are apparently dynamic and exciting and not, as I first suspected, a bit sad. Perhaps I'm getting old, but I don't find the things particularly exciting at all. The one I had was green but despite this was quite nice in other respects. For one, the size is excellent -- at 4"x2"x1" it's a little larger than the StarTac and slightly heavier. The flip design makes the phone very compact and it's quite easy to open using just one hand. However, the flap itself feels rather weak and I was concerned that anything other than the most careful handling could cause some quite serious damage. Battery life was impressive. The phone lasted around 48 hours with quite a few calls being made. The quoted battery life is 120hours standby and 6 hours talk.
