Many people seem to think that there is only one credible video editing package available for the PC and it comes with a reasonably hefty price tag and an Adobe badge... but they are wrong. In fact there are many different video editing programs providing various features at various prices and MGI's VideoWave III falls slap bang across the market with a ground-breaking pricepoint and high feature set.
The new version packs in SmartDV rendering, MPEG-1/2 support, Video CD support, MP3 music facilities and a lot of other features which are designed to make the aspiring video editor's life a lot easier. Of course, the program is not being pitched as a real-time video editing system (backed up with sufficient meaty hardware) but the featureset is certainly very prolific and would, in fact, meet the needs of many an editor.
