Richard Antonini andhis wife agreed to do something considered a little abnormal during the early 1960s.
Before the birth of their son, Antonini and his wife, Linda, decided that family concerns came first, career second.
While establishing his career Antonini's promise was continuously challenged, first while working as a certified public accountant for a local firm and later as an assistant to Foremost Corp. of Americas president.
More than once, Antonini, who for four years has been chief executive officer of Foremost, 5800 Foremost Drive SE, has excused himself while a board meeting was in progress because one of his children needed to talk to him on the telephone.
While some executives wouldn't dream of interrupting their work day to give their children on-the-spot advice, Antorini sees life from a different perspective.
For him, family concerns are a priority over business pursuits.
