Winston-Salem, NC--Republic Mortgage Insurance Co., a relationship driven private mortgage insurance company, has been successful in offering clients value added products.
RMIC's zero initial payment monthly mortgage insurance product is experiencing ample success with customers and lenders, said Judy Glazier, vice president and manager of sales administration at RMIC.
Ms. Glazier said the product, introduced two months ago, has been a big help to borrowers.
"We tend to deal with borrowers that have very little money," said Ms. Glazier.
The Zip Monthly, as the product is called, does not require an upfront payment at closing but rather the first payment of mortgage insurance is paid with the first month's principal and interest. RMIC has lined up coverage from the first of the month to the first of the month.
Ms. Glazier said RMIC does not charge an additional fee for the few days the coverage might be extended for.
