No, the Robert Plan is not a special insurance policy that covers Robert Wallach's personal automobile fleet of Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs, an Aston Martin, an Audi S8, a Mini and a Ford pickup.
It is an auto insurance company that his father, William Wallach, founded in Queens in 1958 and named after him.
Last year revenues at Robert Plan Corp., a Bethpage-based servicer and underwriter in the urban, assigned-risk market, passed $700 million. The company employs more than 1,600 people. It's a leader in fighting auto insurance fraud and even takes credit for busting up the largest chiropractic fraud ring in New Jersey history.
