WEIRTON -- West Virginia's Northern Panhandle received an economic boost in January with the announcement that Roll Coater Inc. will locate a new paintline facility near Weirton.
The 175,000 square foot paintline facility will be built in an industrial park being developed jointly by Weirton Steel Corp. and the Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle.
When it hits full production, which is expected by the end of the year, the facility will employ 100 people.
"We have been working on this project for the past 16 months, and we are extremely pleased that we finally got it put together," said Brian Linkesh, director of development for the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce. "This will be a definite asset to the community."
