Actress and producer Paula Brancato doesn't just play an investment banker on TV
Paula Brancato, of mid-market investment bank Alpha Omega Capital Partners, has accumulated her share of tombstones over the years, working on deals involving major insurance companies, asset managers, banks and other financial service outfits. But what separates her from most bankers might be her quest for another statue to go on the desk-a gold statue of an art deco-styled knight commonly referred to as an Oscar. Alternatively, a gold-plated, miniature phonograph would also suffice.
Brancato isn't quitting her day job. However, considering the advances she's made as an actress/producer/singer/songwriter, few could fault her if such a move crosses her mind from time to time.
A Harvard Business School graduate who has worked for Morgan Stanley, McKinsey & Co. and the World Bank, Brancato only joined the Richmond, Va.based Alpha Omega this past September. As a regional vice president, her charge is to spearhead the firm's efforts in New York, originating and executing smallto mid-market deals...
